National Association of REALTORS®
Code of Ethics Training Requirement

All REALTOR® members must meet the NAR Code of Ethics requirement by March 2, 2009 or else lose Key and all other NAR, MAR, and HCAR privileges, but there are several ways to meet the requirement.
Option 1. Are you already compliant and noted as such?
Please click to see the HCAR Compliance List. If you're listed, you're done!
Option 2. Are you a new member?
- ONLY new members who joined after July 1, 2008 do not need to meet this requirement by March 2, 2009. They will have to meet the requirement in the next four year period ending in December of 2012.
- New members who completed the New Member Orientation, including the Ethics Training portion, have met the NAR Ethics requirement. Let us know if you completed Ethics Training during Orientation and are not on the list.
Option 3. You are not on the list, but took an approved Ethics class?
- Please login to Members Only Code of Ethics Certificate Upload
Upload your certificate for 2005 - 2008 Ethics Compliance for easy staff review! This will do the work of attaching your Ethics Certificate of Completion to your HCAR membership record.
- Please fax Certificates of Completion to 410.715.1489.
- You can also email the certificates to us at staff@HCAR.org.
Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter. If you have any questions, please contact HCAR Staff, at 410-715-1437, or via email at staff@HCAR.org.
